Welcome to Calculus!
Upcoming Tests and Quizzes - Friday, September 12th
Course Description
Introduction to Calculus is focused on understanding the concepts of calculus from an intuitive point of view. Units from differential and integral calculus provide the main themes, and practical applications will be shown. This course is not intended as preparation for the Advanced Placement Calculus exam. While some students may be eligible for advanced standing in college calculus, all students will be thoroughly prepared for a beginning college calculus course.
Math Center Info
The Math Center is open most periods during the day. The Center functions as a student assistance and study center, with a certified math teacher available to answer your questions. Several computers and one dedicated printer are available for student use.
How to Use this Site
Just follow the links at the top. Math Portal takes you back to the main page; Assignment Sheets, Worksheets, and Class Notes all do what their titles say. Math Discussion Blog is a place for students to post questions about specific problems or to respond to questions/problems posted from class. That's it! If you have any questions, remember, my email is susan.goldmann@rtsd.org.
Pennsylvania Math League Contests
Looking to get a little extra credit? Then look no more! The Pennyslvania Math League Contests is your ticket to extra credit points from November 2008 through April 2009. Each month, one 6 question contest is given from 7AM to 7:30 AM in the Black Box (or somewhere similar, to be announced). All math teachers give extra credit to students who answer these questions correctly. So listen for the announcement and bring your pencils and calculator to the PA Math League Contest!
